Case study
Business Administration Trainee, Stefan
Stefan, Business Administration Trainee
Kent County Council
I work in the Policy and Resources division under the
Communities Directorate. The work that I have done so far has been
varied and interesting. I have only been here for a short time and
I am still adjusting to my surroundings but I have been impressed
so far with the wide variety of tasks I've been involved with, such
as: inputting financial data, running queries in the financial
system, maintenance and updating of hardcopy and electronic
financial filing systems, providing administrative support to
different teams, answering telephone calls and the taking of
messages, word processing and formatting letters and reports,
carrying out general office duties such as photocopying, printing,
faxing, collating and distributing post.
It's hard getting to know how the council runs, because the it's
vast and has many different sections to get used to, but I like
most things about the job. The people are nice, and it is fun to do
both challenging and varied work. The experience has helped to
improve the quality of all the work I do.
