Case study
Workforce Development and Diversity Administrator, Lisa
Lisa, Workforce Development and Diversity
Administrator
Hartlepool Borough Council
"I started off working for the council as an apprentice and then
moved into an administrative assistant role. I then progressed onto
the next level and became an administrator for the workforce
development team.
I am responsible for the administration of the council's
leadership and management development programme, which deals with
around 500 managers. I also administrate our placement programme
and complete any invoices that come into our section. I am also
heavily involved in the administration for our NVQ programmes.
I like being involved in lots of different projects and having
lots of things happening at once. I like the organisational side of
things and seeing events that I have helped organise run
smoothly.
In addition to my Apprenticeship, I have undertaken a level 3
management qualification. I have also completed a level 2 NVQ
in Team Leading and a Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service. Plus I've
completed various corporate training courses, such as health and
safety, diversity in the workplace and stress management for
staff.
In future, I would like to see my role developing into an
administrative team leader, as I think this would be a natural
progression and I really enjoy the area of work that I am in."
